Anna Wilking is currently a Ph.D. student in cultural anthropology at New York University. Her dissertation focuses on sex work and gender in Latin America, a topic she has studied for more than six years.
Anna first became involved in Carmen’s Place as a G.E.D. teacher to the residents. She took a particular interest in Father Braxton’s mission because her father is also an Episcopal priest.
Her next film will be an intimate portrayal of sex workers’ lives in Quito, Ecuador.
